No context, no information. Now only a crystal ball can help guess what it's about.
Everyone around the world knows coffee or tea for breakfast. Since chats have existed, everyone has also come across these classics: Hello. Hey. ??
If you're lucky, there's even a "Good day" thrown in. And then? Silence. No context. No question. No request.
There's only one thing to do: either close the window or ask directly: What do you need? How can I help? Do you have a problem?
And honestly: sometimes I think someone just wants contact but doesn't know what to say. That's fine in private. But at work? Time, structure, and efficiency matter.
If I add up how much time per day is lost through "empty greetings," I could easily leave work an hour earlier – without anything being left undone.
